A Plattsburg man sustained serious injuries in a crash Wednesday.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Alan Burton was at a stop sign at the intersection of Missouri 116 and US Highway 69, 6 miles east of Lathrop. He failed to yield to traffic on 69, and was struck by Burket Jones of Lawson, who was eastbound. Burton's vehicle remained in the intersection, while Jones' came to rest on the west shoulder, facing east.
Burton was transported by Tri-County EMS to Liberty Hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt.
